Welcome to Live Language School
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before enrolling or using our website and online English lessons.

By registering, enrolling, or accessing our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Lessons and Scheduling

  • Each lesson is 25 minutes long, including a short greeting and review.

  • Lessons are conducted one-on-one with a native English teacher via our online platform.

  • Parents or guardians may schedule lessons according to available time slots.

  • We offer flexible scheduling — classes can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Missed lessons without notice are considered completed and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

2. Subscriptions and Payments

  • All plans operate on a monthly subscription basis.

  • Payment is required in advance of each billing cycle.

  • Lesson credits do not roll over to the following month unless agreed in writing.

  • Subscriptions may be paused or canceled at any time before the next billing period.

  • Prices are listed in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) and are subject to change with prior notice.

3. Trial Lessons

  • Each new student is entitled to one free 30-minute trial lesson (includes a 5-minute level check).

  • Trial lessons are for evaluation purposes and cannot be exchanged or extended.

  • After the trial, parents may choose from available subscription plans.

4. Teacher Assignments

  • We aim to provide consistent teacher assignments for continuity of learning.

  • However, we may occasionally substitute teachers due to scheduling, illness, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • All teachers are professionally qualified and experienced in ESL instruction.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

  • All lesson plans operate on a monthly subscription basis.

  • Each subscription includes a fixed number of lessons per month, based on the selected plan:

    • 1 lesson per week → 4 lessons per month

    • 2 lessons per week → 8 lessons per month

    • 4 lessons per week → 16 lessons per month

  • Subscription pricing is based on the number of lessons per month, not on the total number of calendar weeks.

  • Some months may contain an additional week (for example, five Sundays). In such cases, parents may choose to book additional lessons at the same per-lesson rate as their plan.

  • Extra lessons can be added to the next billing cycle or invoiced separately, depending on the parent’s preference.

  • Payment is required in advance of each billing cycle.

  • Lesson credits do not roll over to the following month unless otherwise agreed.

  • Prices are listed in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) and may be adjusted with prior notice.

6. Technical Requirements

  • Parents are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection, a webcam, and a working microphone.

  • If lessons cannot be conducted due to technical issues on the student’s side, the session will be counted as completed.

  • If issues arise from our system or teacher’s side, we will arrange a make-up lesson free of charge.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Parents may cancel or reschedule a lesson up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson, or failure to attend without prior notice, will be counted as a completed lesson and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

  • If your child is unwell or an emergency occurs, please notify us as soon as possible. In such cases, we may offer a one-time exception per month at our discretion.

  • If a lesson is canceled by Live Language School or the assigned teacher, the lesson will be rescheduled or credited to your account at no cost.

  • Refunds are generally not available for completed or missed lessons unless special approval is given (for example, extended illness or technical failure on our side).

8. Privacy and Data Protection

  • We respect your privacy and follow all applicable data protection laws.

  • Personal information such as names, contact details, and lesson recordings are used only for educational and administrative purposes.

  • No student information is shared with third parties without consent.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All lesson materials, slides, and videos provided by Live Language School remain our property.

  • Students may use materials for personal learning but may not reproduce, distribute, or share them publicly.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not responsible for internet connectivity issues, hardware malfunctions, or student misuse of learning materials.

  • While every effort is made to ensure quality education, we cannot guarantee specific learning outcomes.

11. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

  • Any changes will be posted on this page and communicated to parents via email or LINE.
